Yesterday, on July 11, 2023, the delegates from the ten member countries of the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC) gathered at Mt. Samat National Shrine in Pilar, Bataan
as one of their activities in preparation for VECONAC's 35th Executive Board Meeting and 22nd General Assembly in November 2023. They paid tribute to fallen heroes through a wreath-laying ceremony at the Dambana ng Kagitingan. The shrine, situated atop Mount Samat, stands as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made during the Battle of Bataan. This event strengthens ASEAN bonds and fosters peace, unity, and collaboration. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the delegates for honoring our veterans and preserving their memories. We also appreciate the presence of the members of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines who witnessed this meaningful ceremony.
