Last August 17, 2022, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) of Australia and New Zealand’s Pacific Business Mission to the Philippines was held in Manila, Clark, Bataan and Subic. Attendees in the said event were Philippine Ambassador to Australia, H.E. Ma. Hellen B. Dela Vega, Tourism and Multicultural Affairs Minister. Hon. Zoe Bettison, and the delegates from Australia and New Zealand.

The delegates and guests were welcomed by Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III and 1st District Board Member Hon. Antonino “Tony” Roman III. The esteemed government officials introduced the Province of Bataan as an industry and investment hub in their messages.

Bataan Public Private Partnership and Investment Center Dept. Head, Mr. Abul Khayr Alonto II, Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan Marketing Chief, Mr. Kelvin Rae Rodriguez, Hermosa Ecozone and Industrial Park Zone Manager, Engr. Rey Delos Santos, Provincial Tourism Officer Ms. Alicia D. Pizarro, and Mt. Samat Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone Administrator, Mr. Francis Theodore B. Initorio presented their agencies’ investment programs.

Ms. Pizarro gave a brief discussion on the Tourism Situation in Bataan such as the must-visit destinations, number of tourist arrivals from 2018 until July, 2022, number of LGU Registered and Department of Tourism (DOT) Accredited Establishments, and the data on tourism workers as of June 2022.

The Province of Bataan is indeed a complete investment destination that boasts rich history, amazing culture, and a livable environment where you can achieve both a fulfilling career and business, as well as comfortable living.
