As we still engage in the new normal, the Provincial Tourism Office conducted an online learning event entitled the Business Continuity and Resiliency Planning held last August 31, 2021, via Zoom.
Mr. Dennis Orlina, President and Philippine Representative of ASEAN Handicraft Promotion and Development Association (AHPADA), shared his knowledge and expertise about business stability and building a resilient tourism workforce.
The Provincial Tourism Officer, Ms. Alice Pizarro, welcomed the resource speaker and participants with sentiments, high hopes, and gratitude. Ms. Alice mentioned some unfortunate events such as business closure and job losses that occurred during the onslaught of the pandemic. However, to give us inspiration, she reminded us that everyone should see the goodness of God and keep going on despite unprosperous situations.

During the webinar proper, Mr. Orlina stated that businesses should understand the now and embrace what's next. Everyone should accept that pandemic may still be here in the future, and we have to learn to live with it.
One of the webinar objectives is to encourage tourism establishments to withstand the current situation, identify other possible disruptions, plan for its prevention, and continue resiliency training of its workforce.
Business owners, hoteliers, and workforce from various tourism establishments participated in the online learning event.
While the unprecedented tourism crisis continues, Bataan tourism is optimistic for the speedy recovery of its industry.
