The Department of Tourism Region 3 in cooperation with the Municipal Government of Orani launched the Tayo na sa Orani Tour Package aimed at ensuring that tourists enjoy the #OneCountrySideExperience in the town of Orani.
The launching kicked off with a festive dance number from the students of Orani National Highschool. Mayor Efren ‘Bondjong’ Pacual, Vice Governor Cris Garcia, and Department of Tourism OIC Director Carolina Uy who all gave their welcoming speeches before touring around Orani were joined by Board Member Rey Ibe, Former Board Member Guding Ferrer, Vice Mayor Godofredo Galicia, SB Members, Tour Operators from Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Bulacan, Bloggers, members of the media, and other government officials and employees.
In his message, Mayor Pascual underscored that Orani is committed in ensuring that this tour package would help the locals in terms of economic growth and environmental awareness. Director Carolina Uy for her part mentioned that Orani, being strategically located near Subic Bay Freeport Zone, has the opportunity to gain more tourists nationwide and globally thru the arrival of the biggest cruise lines this year and in the coming years.
On the other hand, Vice Governor Garcia encouraged the millennials to appreciate the beauty of nature to stop their addiction in electronic gadgets. Orani, with its goal to be among the top 5 eco-tourism destinations in Central Luzon, attract more millennials to travel and learn the perks of experiencing an eco–tour as well as appreciate the nature instead of contributing to its degragation.
After the program, they started exploring the tourist havens of Orani. Their first stop was at the Tala View deck to see the breathtaking view of the Bataan National Park. Second stop was at the Baby’s Aqua Farm to experience catch and pay as well as the fun boodle fight. Third was at the David’s Farm to experience how to plant rice and have a taste of Ternatea flower with lemon. The last stop was at the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish Church and visited the
museum showcasing the dresses of the beloved patron saint of Orani.
During the evaluation of the said tour package, tour operators mentioned the big potential of Orani to be within the top 5 eco – tourism destinations in Central Luzon by 2020.
Indeed, it is only in Orani, that one can have that extraordinary one countryside experience!
