2ND YEAR OF VIRTUAL CELEBRATION OF TOURISM MONTH TOOK PLACE IN THE PROVINCE OF BATAAN.
Last September, the Provincial Tourism Office celebrated the Tourism Month 2021 with the theme "Inclusive Growth".
The activities for this year’s celeberation were the Game Ka Na Ba sa Bataan, 2-day Webinar on Empathetic Customer Service, Tourism Online Interactive Contest, and the 2nd year of Gabay Lakbay Virtual Tour Guiding Competition.
Tourism Students from various colleges and university joined the Game Ka Na Ba sa Bataan. It is a virtual game show that focused on the tourism industry, operations, and current events in the province of Bataan.
The winners in the Game Ka Na Ba are: 1st Place – Bataan Peninsula State University, 2nd Place – Eastwoods College of Science and Technology – Dinalupihan Campus, and 3rd Place – Philippine Women’s University – Balanga.
The participants in the Virtual Tour Guiding Competition held last September 20-27, were the members of the Bataan Peninsula Tour Guides. The competition winners are 1st Place: Ms. Juliet Allegra Blanas, 2nd Place: Mrs. Lucille Ann Marcelo - Saldaña, and 3rd Place: Mrs. Leslie R. Jorge – Acain.
Furthermore, Mr. Francisco T. Dela Cruz Jr., an Independent Trainer, Resource Speaker and the Rockstar of the Department of Tourism, once again shared his expertise, wit, and experiences to the Bataeño entrepreneurs through the Empathetic Customer Service Webinar held last September 27-28 via Zoom.
Mr. Dela Cruz shared some of the customer qualities and behaviors that come during this pandemic and how entrepreneurs should respond with empathy for the customer’s greater experience.
To wrap up the celebration, the Provincial Tourism Office conducted an online raffle entitled “Tourism Month Interactive Online Contest” Thousands of Bataeños responded to questions related to destinations, culture, and history of the province. Thirty (30) winners won cash prizes: ten (10) winners of 1,000 in Easy Round, ten (10) winners of 2,000 in Average Round, and ten (10) winners of 3,000 in Difficult Round.
These activities and contests were the ways of the Bataan Tourism Office to help the Bataan Stakeholders and Students to gain knowledge and learnings, and to somehow help Bataeños survive in this trying times.
