The Shrine of Valor , also known as “Dambana ng Kagitingan” , is a memorial cross on a mountain called Samat. It was built to commemorate the bravery and chivalry of Filipino and American soldiers and their sacrifices when the Japanese assaulted the Philippines during World War II.
