Empowering Bagac Tourism Through Housekeeping Training

The Department of Tourism Region III (DOT), in partnership with the Provincial Tourism Office and the Municipality of Bagac, successfully launched a 3-day Training Course on Housekeeping for the Bagac Beach and Inland Resort Owners Association (BBIROA) last June 18–20, 2025, at the PSALM Hotel and Conference Center in Bagac, Bataan.

This enrichment session aimed to elevate the quality of frontline service in Bagac’s hospitality industry, with a strong focus on housekeeping standards and practices. A total of 41 establishment owners and housekeeping workers actively took part in the training, made possible through the efforts of Ms. Edna Fajardo, President of BBIROA and Mr. Leonardo Herbon, Municipal Tourism Officer of Bagac.
The Resource Speaker, Mr. Freddie Quinito, tackled important topics including Standards of Quality Housekeeping, Sanitation and Pest Control, Bed Making Demonstration and Occupational Safety Hazards. He also incorporated the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence, capping the session with a bonus tutorial on Napkin Folding and other helpful techniques.
This initiative marked a step forward in the alignment and standardization of quality service among Bagac’s tourism workforce, contributing to the broader goal of excellence in tourism service throughout Bataan and Central Luzon.
