First opened its gate to the public in March 2010, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is home to the collection of Mr. Jose Acuzar’s heritage houses. Every house was carefully dismantled and transferred to this property and rebuilt piece by piece to maintain its original structure. These houses were reconstructed and renovated by the team formed by Mr. Acuzar for his private estate. His selection of heritage houses in his property interests the people as they learn about his outstanding collection. People got more curious about how the number of heritage houses grew.
Then, Mr. Acuzar saw an opportunity to make his property accessible to the public. To be able to continue financing his work in restoring these heritage houses, this once-private estate transformed into a resort business. Today, Las Casas works to revive and relive the rich history and culture of the Filipinos. Renowned as 2021’s Best Historic Hotels in Asia Pacific, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar strives to continue to live its mission of taking pride in the past and hope for the future.
