History of the Philippine Flag

Today, as we celebrate National Flag Day, we commemorate the first time the Philippine flag was unfurled after the Battle in Alapan in 1898. It was a moment of triumph and unity, symbolizing our nation’s hard-won freedom as well as the bravery of those who fought for our independence. Let us honor this legacy by upholding the values our flag represents: courage, justice, and love for country.

History of the Philippine Flag

From May 28 to June 12, we observe Flag Days, a time when we are encouraged to display the Philippine flag in government offices, schools, businesses, and even our homes. Itโ€™s a simple act, but a powerful reminder of our shared identity and the sacrifices made for our liberty.
Letโ€™s raise our flags with pride and let it wave as a symbol of our unity, resilience and love for the country.
