DAYAW 2026 | Ipagdiwang ang Buwan ng Mga Katutubo!
Ngayong Oktubre, ating ipinagdiriwang ang pagkamalikhain, mga kaalaman, at pagiging matatag ng mga katutubong komunidad sa bansa bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng mga Katutubo, alinsunod sa Proklamasyon Blg. 1906 na nilagdaan noong 2009.
Higit dalawandaang mga katutubo, cultural bearers, artists, mga guro at akademiko, kabataan, at kinatawan ng mga komunidad mula sa 41 clusters ang magsasama-sama sa Dayaw 2026 na gaganapin mula ika-13 hanggang ika-15 ng Oktubre, sa Foro de Intramuros Manila.
Sa temang “Pagkamalikhain ng Katutubong Filipino: Pinagtibay ng mga Pagsubok, Umaalab ang Bagong Pag-Asa” (Creativity of Indigenous Filipinos: Strengthened by Challenges, Igniting New Hope), layunin ng Dayaw na ipakita kung paanong patuloy na humuhugot ng lakas ang mga pamayanang kultural sa kanilang mga tradisyon, kaalaman, at malikhaing gawain sa kabila ng mga hamong panlipunan, pang-ekonomiko, politikal, at pangkapaligiran.
Tampok sa pagdiriwang ang mga programa para sa pagpapalitan ng kultura at kaalaman, kabilang ang:
Gawad sa Gabay ng Katutubo
IP Forums na nakatuon sa edukasyon, kalusugan, at kalikasan
Demo ng sayaw, paghahabi, at iba pang katutubong likhang-kamay
Kalutong katutubo
Kultural na pagtatanghal
Epiko at iba pang oral traditions
Ethnomedicine at iba pang kaalamang katutubo indigenous knowledge
Exhibitions at iba pang indigenous creative expressions
Higit pa sa isang pagdiriwang, ang Dayaw ay espasyo upang marinig ang boses ng mga katutubo – isang espasyo para dinggin ang kanilang hinaing, ipakilala ang kanilang mga realidad, ipalaganap ang mga kuwento ng pag-asa sa gitna ng hamon ng makabagong panahon.
Bilang pagkilala sa mga katutubong komunidad, patuloy tayong gumawa ng mga espasyong nagpapayabong sa mga pamanang kultural at kung saan maaaring umalab ang bagong pag-asa.
