Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Seminar for 34 service employees of the Municipal Government of Samal

    September 9, 2026

On September 7, 2026, the Provincial Tourism Office, in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Samal, successfully concluded the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Seminar for 34 service employees of the Municipal Government of Samal.

This flagship training program of the DOT was led by FBSE Master Trainer Mr. Jay A. Aquino, with the assistance of DOT Training Representative Mr. Erwin Joshua Salta.

Through this collaboration among the provincial government, the national government, and the LGU of Samal, a culture of excellence is strengthened by instilling the Filipino brand of hospitality among civil servants and tourism stakeholders, ultimately enhancing public service delivery for guests and constituents across Bataan.

    DOTxPTOUR Mobile Accreditation in Mariveles

    September 3, 2026

The Department of Tourism (DOT), in partnership with the Provincial Tourism Office of Bataan, brought the DOT x PTOUR Mobile Accreditation to the Municipality of Mariveles on August 27, 2026, at Casa Veles Hotel Function Hall. The accreditation caravan provided local tourism stakeholders with an opportunity to access accreditation assistance closer to their establishments. The activity guided participants through the tourism accreditation process, including the submission of documentary requirements and other necessary steps toward accreditation.

The DOT Region III Accreditation Team, together with the Office of the Provincial Tourism Officer, assisted tourism establishments with their applications through the accreditation portal and provided guidance on the requirements and standards they need to meet. An orientation on the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) and Certificate of Non-Coverage (CNC) was also conducted to help participants better understand the environmental requirements related to their tourism operations.

The activity also included physical inspection of applicants as part of the accreditation process, allowing the team to provide onsite assistance and address concerns directly with tourism establishments. Through the DOT x PTOUR Mobile Accreditation, the DOT and the Provincial Tourism Office continue to bring accreditation services closer to local tourism stakeholders, making the process more accessible while encouraging tourism establishments in Mariveles to comply with the necessary standards and requirements.
