Day 1 | 3-Day Housekeeping Services Training Program
The first day of the 3-Day Housekeeping Services Training Program was successfully conducted on September 28, 2026, at the Bataan Tourism Pavilion, City of Balanga, bringing together tourism and hospitality workers for a full day of learning and skills development. Facilitated by Department of Tourism Resource Speaker Dr. Freddie A. Quinito, the first day focused on the foundations of professional housekeeping operations and the important role of housekeeping personnel in providing clean, safe, and quality experiences for guests.
The training began with an introduction to professional housekeeping operations, covering the organization and functions of housekeeping, the duties and responsibilities of personnel, and quality standards in housekeeping operations. Participants also learned about professionalism and service excellence, including customer service, guest expectations, proper grooming and conduct, and the role of housekeeping in achieving service goals and building a positive establishment image. In the afternoon, the discussion shifted to cleaning supplies, equipment, and proper housekeeping procedures. Dr. Quinito also discussed sanitation, hygiene, and pest control, highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy and safe environment for guests and staff. The day ended with a reflection and knowledge check, giving participants an opportunity to review the lessons and key takeaways from the day’s sessions. With the first day covering the essential foundations, the training continues as participants further develop their knowledge and skills in professional housekeeping services.
