Day 2 | 3-Day Housekeeping Services Training Program

The 3-Day Housekeeping Services Training Program continued with Day 2 on September 29, 2026, at the Bataan Tourism Pavilion, City of Balanga, focusing on guest room cleaning and essential housekeeping skills. The day began with a quick review of the lessons and key takeaways from Day 1 before proceeding to guest room cleaning and servicing procedures. Participants learned about guest room cleaning standards, proper room make-up and maintenance, as well as room inspection, room checks, and turndown service.

In the afternoon, participants had a demonstration on professional bed making and towel folding. The session gave them an opportunity to observe the proper techniques and standards used in preparing guest rooms and creating neat and presentable towel arrangements. The training also covered occupational health and safety in housekeeping, including safe work practices, accident prevention, proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and identifying housekeeping hazards through risk assessment and safety inspections. Participants also learned about infection prevention and emergency response, with discussions on infection control practices, personnel safety, proper use of hazard signs, and basic first aid and emergency response procedures.

The day concluded with a skills assessment and reflection, allowing participants to review the lessons and skills they gained throughout the day’s training. Day 2 provided participants with a mix of discussions and practical demonstrations, further strengthening their knowledge and skills in maintaining clean, safe, and well-prepared guest rooms.
