The training also covered occupational health and safety in housekeeping, including safe work practices, accident prevention, proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and identifying housekeeping hazards through risk assessment and safety inspections. Participants also learned about infection prevention and emergency response, with discussions on infection control practices, personnel safety, proper use of hazard signs, and basic first aid and emergency response procedures.
The day concluded with a skills assessment and reflection, allowing participants to review the lessons and skills they gained throughout the day’s training.
