From a simple idea to a festival worth experiencing
Every great production starts somewhere. Sometimes, it starts with a simple idea. Then come the plans, the people, the details, the unexpected challenges, and eventually, the moment when everything comes together. That was the story of Day 3 of the 3-Day Festival Production Management Workshop held on September 17, 2026. For the final day, participants moved from learning to doing through the Production Management Toolkit and the “Produce the Show” workshop. Working together, they developed hypothetical production projects and prepared the documents and plans needed to bring their ideas to life.

Putting their learnings into action, the participants were divided into two groups: Group Tawid-an Festival and Group Kahusaysayan. Each group developed their own production concept and presented their work, bringing together the different elements of production management they had learned throughout the workshop. The real test came in the afternoon, as each group presented their work for critique and feedback from resource speakers Mr. Nilo Agustin, Mr. Matthew Manalaysay, and Director Jose Christe Nombres, together with Ms. Danica Lolita C. Tigas, Ph.D., Acting Provincial Tourism Officer. The workshop also ended on a celebratory note as the participants’ hard work and creativity were recognized through the following awards:
🏆 Best Production Management — Group Tawid-an Festival
🏆 Best Male Performer — Tomas Pinpin
🏆 Best Female Performer — Geraldine Roman
🏆 Best Direction — Group Kahusaysayan
🏆 Best Backstage Management — Group Tawid-an Festival
🏆 Best Overall Presentation — Group Kahusaysayan
From understanding what happens behind the scenes, to learning how to manage the details, and finally putting ideas into a complete production plan, the workshop reminded us that every memorable festival begins with a vision—and the people who are willing to bring that vision to life.
